The Power Of Music
Music can be extremely therapeutic. I literally have a playlist for everything and every mood! For me, music is a form of mediation, empowerment, good background music for a good cry session or a pick me up. Sometimes songs simply express what we are feeling so perfectly. So here are a few of my favorite songs for different moods. Some of them are good for when in a funk and need the inspiration to stay strong. Some are good for when everyone is bothering you and you need to escape. Some are perfect for when you feel like you’re winning and you need a good song to celebrate. Some are breakup or relationship songs and with those try to get your anger out at your illness, it actually might be empowering. There are a few that are good for when you feel alone and can serve as a reminder that you aren’t. For those songs try and think of one person, a friend, a sibling, a parent, a grandparent, or me and remember that they are there for you. I will try and break these down into categories. Enjoy you strong fighters!
Empowered: There are many times when you need to feel empowered. Times when you feel misunderstood and just need to belt out a good emotional yet empowering song. Times when you’re feeling a bit down and you need a perfect pump up song. Times that you start to doubt yourself because you feel like you have to live up to high standards and start comparing yourself to other people. And then there are the times that life just gets to you. For all these times, I give you the EMPOWERED playlist.
